The restaurant’s building
The restaurant’s building is a residential house built in the late 19th century, by the first settlers in Metula. Haim, third generation in Metula, is the creative spirit behind the building and preservation. He built, planned and accurately renovated the original house that was here one hundred years ago. And Miriam is in-charge of the interior design. She planned, added unique furniture items and created the picture gallery on site.
Upon your entry to the house you pass along a path of old trees which blend in with the balsam and cyclamen flowers found in the beautiful old stone house garden, and which creates pockets of glorious color. The interior of the house will wrap you in an intimate ambiance, with the pleasant coolness of stone during the summer and romantic warmth of a burning fireplace during the winter.

Beit Shalom Breakfast
“Beit Shalom breakfast is well-known. Alongside the burning fireplace throughout the winter, or among the lemon and cherry trees in the yard in the summer, you will enjoy a festivity of tastes that recreates the rustic Metulla cuisine in the past.
All the ingredients for breakfast come from the domestic farm:
Following the atmosphere of older Metula, Miriam and Haim harvest olives, pressing olives, collect eggs in the chicken coup, make fig jam from the fig tree that great-grandfather planted here one hundred years ago. Cheese are home made, and for the lovers of pickled fish, they press delicious fish .
